This monument to Stefan Karadja stands in the middle of the Varna
Main Street promenade leading toward the Sea Park. Karadja was one
of Bulgaria's "voivodi", the leaders of the organized struggle for liberation
of Bulgaria's people from the Ottoman yoke.
