The restored Philippopolis Amphitheatre. This antique theatre was built in 343 and
was re-discovered during construction in the late 1970's. The two peaks of Sahat
Tepe with the radio/tv tower and the clock tower is the closest hill; the statue of
Aloysha, the Soviet soldier, on Bunarjik at the center between the peaks. Jendem
Tepe is seen in the distance to the left.
