The branches of this blackthorn tree seem to be heavy with large clusters of bright white blossoms. The tree is commonly known as Sliva (Prunus spinosa) and produces clusters of small, bitter plums. The fruit, which will ripen in late spring (see Photo 125), is a delight to children. Visit Bulgaria .... bring your camera!
