In the eastern part of Plovdiv's Central Garden is this ornate fountain built by the Italian architect Arnoldo Zocci.

The construction of Plovdiv's Central Garden is closely connected with the Swiss gardener Lucien Schevallas. At the end of 1891, before the area of about 70 decares became the site of the first Bulgarian Fair, it was cleared of garbage and bushes, levelled and terraced, then planted to grass and trees before finally adding the ponds and fountains. This fountain is the only remaining relic of the fair, standing to this day in Plovdiv's Central Garden.
