In May, when the lilacs cover it with a scent of spring, the Lilac Music Days of Lovetch are held. Lilac trees are spread throughout Lovetch everywhere. Lovetch is known in Bulgaria as the Town of the Lilacs. It just so happens, however, that these are chestnut trees.
