A parade mixed in with the common folk approaches the town square up a main Karlovo street. In the distance can be seen a girl sitting in a chair being carried above the croud. She's dressed all in pink symbolising the rose that is being grown in the Rose Valley around Karlovo. The girl is known as "the Princess of the Roses".
