The day following the "Day of the Rose". By the way, the P.M. of Bulgaria at that time, Simeon, was at the town square in Karlovo for the celebrations of the rose, and the Kukeri show, and "Horo" and other traditional dances that took place in the town square in Karlovo the day before this photo was taken. This photo though, is from the next day.
This day is in honour of all Bulgarian-Greeks, (Karakachani). The P.M., Simeon, was there as well. These traditionally roasted lambs, of which there were 8 or 10 in total, were prepared in his and all other guest's honour. This is taking place at "Monastery's Meadow" in Sopot, a large meadow right outside of an old monastery in the very North-West corner of the town of Sopot, right by the popular two-seater lift.
