Aleko Chalet is the oldest mountain tourist chalet in Bulgaria. It was built in 1924 and is situated at 1810 metres above sea level. Named after the brillian bulgarian writer Aleko Konstantinov, who was not only a witty satirist but also an ardent pioneer of the organized tourist movement in Bulgaria.
